TRENT GILLEY

Vice President

As vice president of Range Realty Advisors, Trent Gilley specializes primarily in commercial land developments and retail shopping center leasing and acquisitions across greater North Texas. Successfully closing on more than 100 transactions excessing a total of $500 million, Trent’s market savvy and ability to identify promising opportunities helped earn his spot as one of Fort Worth Business Press’ 40 Under 40.

Before joining Range, Trent spent more than 14 years as managing director of acquisitions and dispositions at Woodcrest Capital. He oversaw the acquisition of over 75 retail centers, handled non-performing notes, and managed a leasing team responsible for marketing and leasing 35 retail centers across DFW. Trent approaches his clients’ needs with a fiduciary, results-driven mindset, and he’s cultivated a solid professional network while transforming business relationships into friendships. A seventh-generation Fort Worth native, Trent also offers unparalleled knowledge of the local market while continuing his family’s legacy in what he considers to be America’s greatest city. 

Away from real estate, Trent often passes the time chasing quail with his bird dogs or preparing to chase quail with his bird dogs. He also enjoys taking pictures — of chasing quail with his bird dogs.

MILTON BLACK

Senior Associate

Senior associate Milton Black mainly represents developers, investors, and landowners in buying and selling properties throughout North Texas. Since launching his real estate career in 2017, Milton’s experience has been largely in retail brokerage throughout DFW and the surrounding markets. His transparency, integrity, and exhaustive work ethic underscore his drive to create winning outcomes for all parties involved in a transaction.

Before joining Range Realty Advisors, Milton worked for JLL’s DFW retail team, specializing in tenant representation, landlord leasing, pad site sales, and dispositions. He preceded that by interning at Transwestern in the structured finance department and at Newmark Knight Frank (formerly ARA) in investment sales. Milton’s well-rounded understanding of commercial real estate enables him to exceed client expectations in this challenging and evolving market. 

Originally from Corpus Christi, Texas, Milton graduated from the Bob Schieffer College of Communication at Texas Christian University with a minor in business. He’s an active member of the North Texas Commercial Association of Realtors (NTCAR) and the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC). Milton is also a Texas real estate salesperson license holder. In his personal time, Milton enjoys golf, hiking, music, and traveling.

JOHN THRASH

SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Associate John Thrash launched his commercial real estate career at Range Realty Advisors. Specializing in single-family and industrial development throughout Fort Worth, he’s heavily involved in researching potential properties, developing new leads, and consulting. John combines his knowledge and insights on market trends with his dedication to honesty and integrity to ensure his deals move smoothly — and ethically — toward the finish line.

Born and raised in Lubbock, Texas, John earned a bachelor’s degree in management from Texas Tech University Rawls College of Business. He enjoys an active lifestyle outside of the office, including skiing, hiking, and the outdoors.

BILL HOFFMAN

SENIOR ASSOCIATE

Senior associate Bill Hoffman has a foothold in the eastern and southern DFW markets and specializes in site selection for self-storage, extra-territorial jurisdiction, and industrial land. Bill’s rigorous due diligence, including zoning issues, permits, and approval processes, reflects his belief that hard work and being true to one’s word are what truly define success.

Bill began his professional career in the oil and gas industry. As a landman for R&O Energy in West Texas, he conducted title research and landowner relations in Pecos and Reeves counties. He then became a wireline engineer at Halliburton, running completion operations in Texas and New Mexico. At Range Realty Advisors, Bill dedicates himself to building a network of clients who share the same goals and want to see DFW become a model for other cities.

Born and raised in Dallas, Bill received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees in geology from the University of Texas at Arlington. In his spare time, Bill enjoys playing golf and fly fishing. He also volunteers for the Sons of the Republic of Texas.

MAGGIE NELSON

MARKETING DIRECTOR

As Range Realty Advisor’s marketing director, Maggie Nelson is responsible for growing the company’s brand across DFW while positively impacting the community. By creating marketing collateral, building brand awareness, and expanding social media outreach, Maggie is instrumental in elevating Range’s public image.

Maggie began her career at a Dallas-based private marketing firm, specializing in public relations and strategic marketing plans. She later transitioned into commercial construction and real estate, where she analyzed industry trends, strengthened consumer relationships, and helped clients formulate business development plans. Maggie achieves her commitment to producing and maintaining an exceptional brand through honesty, hard work, and follow-up.

Born and raised in Kansas City, Missouri, Maggie graduated from Spring Hill College in Alabama with a BA degree in public relations and communications and a minor in sociology and marketing. She was also a member of her college’s varsity golf team. In addition to playing golf, some of Maggie’s interests away from her career are spending time with her dogs, traveling to new places, and supporting Ronald McDonald House.

DANIEL BATEY

VICE PRESIDENT

Daniel Batey is a vice president at Range Realty Advisors, focusing primarily on land brokerage opportunities for single-family, multi-family, industrial, and investment properties in the Northern DFW markets. Daniel’s niche skillset helps attract quality buyers and developers who make competitive — and even above-market — offers.  

After spending a couple of years working in the financial industry, Daniel launched his real estate career at Range as an analyst before becoming a land broker. He’s driven toward achieving a mutual benefit for client and community — helping his clients reach their goals while positively influencing DFW’s growth. Daniel’s discipline, accountability, and integrity have helped him become one of Range’s 2022 D CEO Power Brokers as well as a 2021 Top Producer.

A native Texan, Daniel was born and raised in Denison. He attended The University of Texas at Dallas, where he received his bachelor’s degree in finance and his MBA with a dual concentration in real estate and human behavior. In his spare time, Daniel enjoys relaxing with fishing, fitness, and golf.

TOM ALLISON

VICE PRESIDENT

A vice president at Range Realty Advisors, Tom Allison has served in various capacities since launching his commercial real estate career in 2014. Focusing on brokerage and business development, Tom punctuates every facet of his clients’ transactions with integrity and a tireless work ethic. 

Tom began his career in the oil and gas sector before joining real estate agency Jackson Cooksey, where he advised corporate users in their industry requirements throughout the office and industrial markets on local, regional, and national levels. He later co-founded his own commercial real estate tech consulting company, nCore Digital Transformation, where he identified and developed key partnerships across the Southeastern United States. By the time Tom joined Range, he had possessed a comprehensive blend of cross-industry knowledge and corporate and entrepreneurial experience.

Raised in Carthage, Texas, Tom received a bachelor’s degree from Texas A&M University in College Station and remains a fan of its football team — and of the Cowboys. He’s also devoted to his family and loves to spend time with his wife, Kelsey, and daughter, Harper. Tom gives back by supporting Jonathan’s Place, which provides a safe home for children who have experienced abuse, abandonment, or neglect.

CHRIS YOUNG

PARTNER

Partner Chris Young is responsible for business development and brand promotion, particularly client service, new listings, and sales transactions. His place as a 2022 D CEO Power Broker and a 2021 Top Producer reflects his extensive brokerage and management experience and record of producing quality results.

Chris began his commercial real estate career in 2006, serving as vice president at Weitzman before becoming leasing director at ShopCore Properties — an affiliate of The Blackstone Group. Before joining Range Realty Advisors, Chris was senior leasing director for Phillips Edison & Company. Guided by his moral integrity and helpful nature, Chris’s strong client relationships have played an integral role in his successful career.

Originally from Dallas, Chris received a BA degree in communications from St. Edward’s University in Austin, Texas, where he was a member of the men’s golf team. In his spare time, he enjoys playing golf with friends and family, spending time with his dogs, and cooking.

TOM STERQUELL

PARTNER

A partner at Range Realty Advisors, Tom Sterquell specializes in the acquisition and disposition of mixed-use commercial, residential land, and investment properties. Since starting his career in this industry in 2005, Tom has always worked in a marketing or brokerage capacity. He regards every deal as a partnership and believes that fully understanding his clients’ expectations at the outset is key to closing a deal successfully.

Originally from Dallas, Tom began his career in Telluride, Colorado, working for Sotheby’s on its condominium/hotel project marketing team. He later moved over to LandCorp in Denver, handling commercial property dispositions for Newland Communities. Tom returned to his hometown and founded his own brokerage, Calvert Commercial Group, working closely with his dad, long-time Dallas developer and broker J.C. Sterquell. Tom loves everything about the deal-making process and seeing a project’s many parts come together.

Tom graduated with a bachelor’s degree from the Sam M. Walton College of Business at the University of Arkansas and is a 2020 D CEO Power Broker. He is also a licensed real estate broker in the state of Texas. Tom enjoys golf in his downtime as well as supporting Dallas CASA.

DILLON COOK

CEO

As founder and CEO of Range Realty Advisors, Dillon Cook specializes in sourcing off-market land opportunities for many local, regional, and national developers, specifically, the acquisition and disposition of commercial land for new single-family and multi-family communities and mixed-use development. He also oversees the company’s day-to-day operations and corporate direction, and he’s heavily involved in its brokerage assignments across the DFW metroplex. Since launching his real estate career, Dillon has successfully closed over $250 million in land transactions across North and Central Texas. His seasoned expertise in local trends and market insights has been instrumental in his clients’ success.

Dillon began his real estate career at Henry S. Miller Company, where he became one of the first entry-level associates to graduate from its broker trainee program. He later co-founded the company’s specialized Land Advisory Group to focus solely on commercial land brokerage. Since founding Range Realty Advisors, Dillon has rapidly expanded its brokerage team into one of the most recognized and respected land brokerage firms within the DFW metroplex.   

Dillon is an active member of many industry organizations, including the Urban Land Institute (ULI), the International Council of Shopping Centers (ICSC), and The Real Estate Council (TREC). He was recognized as a D CEO Power Broker in 2021 and is consistently Range Realty’s top producer.  

Dillon graduated with a bachelor’s degree from Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. Born and raised in Dallas, his local upbringing influenced his passion for land brokerage and his unique ability to analyze trending opportunities for his clients. 

Outside of real estate, Dillon is an avid outdoorsman and weekend golfer. He and his fiance enjoy traveling and spending time with family in the Dallas area.
